FBLA MEMBERS:  Fundraising forms and money are due Tuesday, October 23rd. It will NOT be accepted after Tuesday.  . You MUST sell at least 5 items to qualify for District. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!  See Ms. Bland if you have any questions.

STUDENTS: The FCS is collecting Christmas Shoeboxes to send overseas. If you would like to participate see Mr. Dugard.  Deadline is Friday, November 2nd.
  STUDENTS: The Louisiana Delta Community College Winnsboro Campus will be offering a Practical Nursing course. If any students are interested in this program, please see Mrs. Beeman for information. 
  The FSA ID is the username and password you use on federal student aid websites such as fafsa.gov. Follow this link to create your FSA ID if you have not yet done that. Some of you have never turned in a computer use form to be allowed to use school computers. You will have to create and complete your own FAFSA if you aren't allowed to use school computers. For assistance completing this form, you must turn in the AUP form with a parent signature. Remember, the FAFSA is required by the state to receive a diploma.

OCT. 27th ACT TESTING: Students who are registered for the ACT MUST bring their ticket (with their uploaded picture on it) AND a picture ID (permit, driver's license etc.), AND an ACT approved calculator. If you do not have a picture ID, you MUST get a Student Identification Letter from FPHS Guidance Department with the approved seal and student picture on it BEFORE Oct. 26th. STUDENTS: Who do not have any tardies for the 2nd Six weeks will be invited to have donuts and juice/milk at the end of the grading period.

FACULTY & STAFF:  Those who have not accessed their @FPSB.US email since we converted over to the new email server last year,  need to log into your email before Friday, October 26th If you do not log in before then, you will not have an active email account set up in the system. Cafeteria, janitorial, and bus staff sometimes only utilize their email once a year in order to complete the mandatory online ethics training. So these groups, especially, need to be aware of the log in deadline date!

A representative will be here on Thursday, October 25th, in the library, for a meeting at 9:45. If you are interested in A Day with the Docs, A Day with AHEC, A-HEC of a summer, MASH, Rural Scholars or a new program entitled AHEC Scholars, please sign the sign up sheet on Mrs. Beeman's door. The first 45 students will be invited to attend. Any student interested in a medical career can pick up informative flyers and applications to these excellent programs from the counseling offices.

4-H NEWS:


  • LIVESTOCK/Shooting Sports:  If you are interested in Livestock or Shooting Sports your forms/dues are due ASAP.  If you are new to Shooting Sports, the mandatory parent meeting is set for TONIGHT at 6pm.   
  • Royal Court Elections:  Forms available in Room 104.  Money must be turned in by October 29th at the 4-H Office.  
  • 4-H Night with the Tigers:  Flyers with more information on discounted tickets are available in room 104.  The game is Nov. 17, 2018 LSU vs RICE.
  • Coke Tab Collection: Franklin Parish 4-H will be collecting/donating coke tabs to the Ronald McDonald Home in Monroe. Anyone is welcome to collect/donate for the cause. Help the parish beat last years collection of 100 lbs! 1st Collection Due at December Club Meeting. 2nd Collection Due the first week of May.
  • Franklin Parish 4-H Commodity Cookery Contest: Event will be held on November 15th at the River of Life with registration starting at 5 pm. The deadline to enter this contest is November 9th. Refer to flyer or visit Ms. Parker or Ms. Lafferty for more information.

  • Graduate Shop is scheduled to be here Tuesday, October 23rd, to meet with seniors and hand out order packets for graduation. They are scheduled to return on Wednesday, November 7th, to take orders.


  • Preview Day in the Pines at Louisiana College will take place on Saturday, October 27th. Each student who wishes to attend needs to fill out at RSVP form using this link.
